Ivo Dimchev /1976/ is a choreographer, visual artist, singer- songwriter from Bulgaria. His work is extreme and colourful mixture of performance art ,dance, theatre, music, drawings and photography.
Dimchev is author of more than 30 performances. He has received numerous international awards for dance and theater and has presented his work all over Europe , South and North America.
In 2017, Ivo released two music albums with his own music: songs from live shows and SCULPTURES, a studio album. Both albums are available on iTunes, Music play, Spotify and many other online music stores.

Director’s Statement
I am a Bulgarian-born filmmaker, living in NYC. In March as we fled our home, I saw that my brilliant friend, performance artist and musician Ivo Dimchev was doing the very opposite - rejecting virtual zoom concerts and live streams and announcing an “at home concert quarantine” tour in his hometown of Sofia, Bulgaria, while keeping social distancing measures and precautions. Ivo invented a new way to connect with his audience and contribute to its well-being with what could be considered essential for the mental health of everyone - music. Ivo is HIV positive, gay, and somewhat controversial, but highly acclaimed contemporary artist. His voice, courageous spirit and the joy he brings to those who invite him into their homes reminded me of an angel visiting people and bringing them a breath of relief and light amid the crisis and uncertainty. Thus I asked to follow him on this incredible journey.
